If you have gotten such emails or similar mails and have responded to them in any way, We advice you to change your cpanel, webmail, FTP, client area passwords and any other administrative login credentials to a strong passwords (combination of uppercase, lowercase, numbers and special characters).

To ensure all client perform this password reset, we have forced a password reset to all cpanels account if incase any of our clients fell victim of such.

To add to this, we have some tips you should always follow to assist in keeping your site always secured;

1. Keep your CMS/Scripts updated.
Outdated CMS/scripts are constantly attacked by hackers so you should ensure they are always updated. You should also ensure you install themes or templates/plugins/modules/components/extension from trusted vendors. They should also be always updated.

2. Always use Strong passwords.
A strong password usually contains a mix of upper and lower case alphabets, numbers and special characters and should be at least 10 characters long (Example of a strong password: Qa@78!TcB2)

3.Always use safe and secured devices and networks.
Avoid using public devices(pcs or mobiles) maybe in cafes or friends systems, as there are are keyloggers/malware that can be on those devices capable of stealing passwords and/or other credentials. Ensure that you have updated antivirus software running on all devices (such as for example an updated Kaspersky Internet Security Anti-virus) that you use to access your backends (cpanel, webmail, client area or any other administrative backend). Also, be sure to only use networks that you can trust to prevent your login details from being stolen.
